As a Collections & Recovery Officer, you will be part of a dynamic and customer-focused collections team at BMW, committed to ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong relationships with customers and dealers. Working closely with colleagues and supervisors, you will play a key role in managing outstanding invoices while adhering to legal and compliance standards.

What awaits you?

  • Responsible for managing and following up on outstanding invoices in compliance with BMW’s legal and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement payment plans and arrangements in coordination with your supervisor.
  • Proactively monitor receivables, sending reminders and formal notices to encourage timely payments.
  • Provide expert advice on credit, goodwill, and debt forgiveness tailored to individual customers or dealers.
  • Take appropriate actions in cases of payment arrears, including instructing recovery procedures for lease or rental vehicles.
  • Collaborate to meet and exceed Collections targets set by BMW Headquarters.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on issues related to non-payers and questionable debtors promptly.

What should you bring along?

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch, French, and English to engage effectively with diverse customers.
  • Customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations persuasively.
  • Analytical ability to assess debtor situations and develop tailored payment solutions.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in handling legal and financial documentation.
  • Basic legal knowledge of collection procedures and debtor rights.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
  • Commitment to uphold BMW Compliance rules and legal obligations in all collection activities.
