Collections Officer – Non Grocery
The Role
This is a commercially focused opportunity for an experienced Collections professional to protect cash flow across Bega Group’s high‑value, high‑volume Non‑Grocery portfolio. As a Collections Officer, you will take full ownership of end‑to‑end collections for assigned accounts, applying strong credit discipline to recover debt and control risk. Experience working with ERP systems is important, with SAP experience highly regarded.
Operating in a fast‑moving environment, you will manage complex, high‑value accounts, reduce overdue balances, resolve invoice issues, and keep AR within agreed ageing targets. Your work will directly impact working capital performance, data accuracy, and business efficiency.
Beyond day‑to‑day collections, you will work with Sales, Customer Service and Finance to execute effective collection strategies, mitigate issues early, and contribute to process and system improvements.
Responsibilities
Manage end‑to‑end collections for assigned Non‑Grocery customer accounts
Maintain accounts receivable ageing within agreed targets, minimising overdue balances
Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
Allocate and clear receipts accurately, including management of unallocated cash
Apply sound credit judgment to manage complex and high‑value customer portfolios
About you
Must have experience in Credit & Collections in a high‑volume environment, with strong reconciliation skills and close attention to detail
Confident using ERP systems (SAP highly regarded) and must have advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads
Professional and confident communicator who builds strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships
Naturally curious with a strong desire to continuously improve processes and outcomes
