This role handles outbound and inbound customer calls, evaluates applicant and risk information, explains program features and coverage considerations, and guides customers through the quote and binding process across multiple states. Success is measured through new-business premium production, bind ratio, responsiveness, and a consistently strong customer experience.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Review applications and risk information for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with underwriting guidelines; obtain missing information as needed.
  • Prepare and communicate quotes, secure required documentation, and complete binding steps accurately and promptly within assigned authority and established procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product offerings, coverage and endorsement forms, underwriting guidelines, and applicable state requirements.
  • Meet or exceed established monthly production and quality metrics, including new-business premium and bind-ratio goals.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain accurate, timely records in applicable agency, policy, CRM, and workflow systems.
  • Partner with underwriting, operations, claims, and other internal teams to resolve questions and support a smooth customer experience.
  • Participate in approximately one to two business events or industry functions per year, as requested.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active Property & Casualty license required.
  • Surplus Lines license (preferred).

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of insurance-industry experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn agency, policy, CRM, and quoting systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a professional telephone presence.
  • Ability to review detailed applicant and risk information and make sound, timely decisions within established guidelines.

Preferred:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field.
  • Experience in personal lines, specialty insurance, collectibles, affinity programs, direct-to-consumer sales, or a call-center production environment.
