About the Role

As a Colleague Engagement Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of a joined-up and engaging colleague experience across engagement, wellbeing and inclusion. You will help ensure that activity is well coordinated, clearly communicated, and accessible across the business.

Working as part of the Colleague Experience team, you will provide day-to-day coordination and support across a range of initiatives, including communications, campaigns, events, listening activity and recognition programmes. You will be responsible for managing key processes, maintaining colleague platforms, and supporting the effective delivery of engagement activity.

Through your work, you will help create a consistent, visible and inclusive experience for colleagues across stores, distribution, support office and practices, contributing to a positive and engaging colleague environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of colleague experience initiatives across engagement, wellbeing and inclusion
  • Coordinate campaigns, events and key moments, ensuring timelines and actions are effectively managed
  • Maintain and update the colleague experience calendar to ensure visibility across the business
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to enable smooth delivery of activity
  • Create, update and publish engaging content across colleague platforms, including SharePoint and Viva Engage
  • Support the development of colleague communications, ensuring content is clear, engaging and aligned to priorities
  • Maintain and manage colleague platforms and communities, monitoring engagement and sharing insights where relevant
  • Manage the central colleague experience inbox, responding to queries and escalating where appropriate while tracking themes
  • Support the planning and coordination of events, campaigns, recognition activity and key awareness moments
  • Assist with listening activity, including surveys and feedback, while maintaining accurate records, tracking actions and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

About You

You’re highly organised and thrive in an administrative or coordination role, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at pace. You have strong attention to detail and take pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly, even when there are lots of moving parts and priorities can change quickly. You’re adaptable and able to respond positively to shifting demands, keeping things on track while maintaining a high standard of work.

You’re a confident communicator with good written skills, able to create clear and engaging content, and you’re comfortable using Microsoft Office, SharePoint and a range of digital platforms. You enjoy working collaboratively and build positive relationships with others, bringing a supportive and proactive approach to your work.

Experience in communications, engagement, events or campaigns would be beneficial but isn’t essential. Similarly, any experience of creating or managing content, supporting events or campaigns, or using survey and feedback tools would be an advantage. Most importantly, you bring a strong organisational mindset, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for creating a positive colleague experience.

We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People.

Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you.

About Pets at Home

Since 1991, when we were a wholesaler with a team of just 15, we’ve been focused on getting better every day. By putting pets before profit, working as a team and taking pride in everything we do, we’ve grown into a 451 store network with more than 8,913 colleagues working in our Stores, Grooming Salons, Distribution Centres and Support Office.

We are the UK’s leading pet specialist, providing pet owners with all their product needs, as well as our Vets for Pets practices and Grooming salons. We support our colleagues to work with pride and passion, to bring honesty and integrity to work every day, and to do it all with a sense of fun and fearlessness. We never shy away from having the important conversations and doing what we say we’ll do.

Our values and behaviours are practiced daily across the business and are what really makes us an enjoyable, exciting place to work. We're always striving to develop and reward our colleagues with an extensive in-house series of training programmes, wellbeing initiatives and a comprehensive benefits package. In 2018 we were delighted to be voted top 5 in the Great Place to Work UK’s Large category.
