Collaboration Manager - Advanced Therapies
Role Purpose:
The Collaboration Manager –The role focuses on translating customer and clinical insights into impactful research activities, product improvements, and innovation opportunities.
The successful candidate will actively engage with key customer sites, support collaboration programs from concept to outcome, and ensure alignment across country teams, global business lines, R&D, and other internal stakeholders. The role also includes driving visibility of collaboration outcomes in the public domain and strengthening long-term strategic partnerships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with leading clinicians and researchers (institutional and non-institutional) on furthering the field of angiographic imaging science by first understanding the clinical needs and then developing solutions to address those needs.
• Work with clinicians, research, technical, and medical staff, on-site, to support research-related interventional cases. Share clinical workflows to a broader audience within Advanced Therapies (AT) to further procedural knowledge.
• Act as the primary interface between external collaborators and internal stakeholders including business lines, R&D, product management, and country organizations. Work closely with KoLs, physicians and internal teams (including Innovation, Business Line, Sales, Marketing, R&D) to define and execute research studies.
• Work with AT Innovations, R&D (both in Forchheim, Germany), and on-site service personnel to install, learn detailed operation of, and pre-test prototype hardware and software.
• Analyze research data with physicians, and prepare reports, publications, and conference presentations. Promote a culture of generating clinically and scientifically relevant outcomes that are visible through publications, presentations, workshops, and other public scientific channels.
• Drive collaboration programs from initiation through execution, ensuring alignment on goals, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and outcomes. Track budget, milestones, and deliverables throughout the project.
• Work with legal, research, and logistics personnel on (both internally and with academic centers) to develop research agreements that define the required equipment, funding and deliverables for each research project.
• Facilitate strong coordination between local collaboration activities and global headquarters to ensure strategic alignment and sustainable integration. Work with project manager in Forchheim and the site Principal Investigator to define the research protocol for each project.
• Write and present reports to AT Headquarters and Senior management regarding project results and new project ideas from the field. Represent local collaboration activities and outcomes at regional and international forums, including conferences, scientific meetings, and internal review platforms
• Where applicable, work with the regional organization to develop research priorities for strategic partnerships with institutions.
• Continuously monitor technology landscape and evaluate technologies (tech transfer, start-ups, think tanks etc.) for applicability to angiographic systems
• Contribute to scientific marketing initiatives and customer engagement strategies related to collaboration programs and research outcomes
• Ensure close interaction and alignment with R&D and development center teams to connect customer insights with future product and solution development

Qualifications and Experience:
• Graduate / Postgraduate qualification in life sciences, biomedical engineering, medical technology, radiology, physics, or a related technical or medical field
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry, medical technology, academic research, or a related field
• Good understanding of academic research settings, healthcare delivery systems, and radiology workflows
• Experience working with hospitals, research institutions, or clinical investigators in a customer-facing or scientific partnership role is highly desirable
• Knowledge of the public or institutional research funding landscape in India is an advantage
• Basic understanding of medical image processing, data analysis methodologies, and emerging AI or machine learning concepts in imaging is desirable
• Strong interest in medical devices, healthcare innovation, and clinical research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with scientific and non-scientific stakeholders
• Technical understanding of medical imaging, especially 2D and 3D imaging on angiographic systems
• Thorough understanding of clinical workflows in interventional procedures (Cardiology, Interventional and Neuro Radiology, Vascular Surgery). Neuro experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge in anatomical vasculature as they relate to interventional -ology (brain, liver, heart etc.)
• Proficient knowledge of clinical software and hardware applications available on angiographic systems (Siemens Healthineers, Philips, GE, Canon and United Imaging)
• Proficient knowledge of IQ for image analysis
• Proficient knowledge related to X-ray dose measurements
• Experience with other imaging modalities such as CT (preferred), MR and Ultrasound.
• Willing to travel up to 25-40%
