Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville processing facility is JBS Australia’s most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The facility employs approximately 430 employees and processes approximately 900 head per day, operating 5 days/week.

About the Role

JBS Townsville is currently recruiting experienced Cold Stores Labourers to join the team in a full-time capacity.

About You

• Hold a current forklift license, advantageous but not mandatory
• Previous experience with manual handling, container loading and unloading, cold storage and warehousing
• Previous experience working in a temperature-controlled environment (chiller/freezer)
• Previous experience with order picking and palletising advantageous
• Previous experience with RF scanning advantageous
• Willingness to participate in a well-developed team environment from general labouring to highly skilled key positions
• Willing to undergo a Q Fever vaccination
• Have access to reliable transport to travel safely to and from work
