Job Description


Cold equipment tech is responsible for all aspects related to cold equipment. We maintain cold equipment for our accounts and suppliers including but not limited to pick-up and deliveries, repairs as needed, cooler programs, and graphic installs. We manage the cold equipment and supplies in our warehouse to stay clean and organized. Communication is imperative to deliver top-notch service to our customers and our partners. We foster and support a team atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving, delivery, reset, maintenance, and inventory for all non-alcoholic beverage cold equipment.
  • Maintain tracking and reporting details of daily and weekly cooler deliveries.
  • Responsible for scheduling all the cold equipment deliveries to our account base and maintaining a daily/weekly log of activity.
  • Direct communication with store and sales personnel regarding cold equipment and resets.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of cold equipment placements by utilizing sales reports and making suggestions on how equipment can best be utilized.
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others you contact through your job.

Work Environment

This job operates in our accounts, mostly indoors with occasional outdoor work.

Physical Demands

  • Lift/carry 35 lbs. repetitively and up to 75 lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
  • Climb stairs
  • Climb ladder occasionally
  • Operate warehouse lift

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days/hours of work vary, & may include weekends & overtime as necessary.

Travel

Local travel only

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age

Preferred Education and Experience

Minimum one (1) year previous grocery or merchandising experience

Compensation

  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
