About Coherent in Switzerland

The Coherent Corp. Zurich site is a key research and production hub for advanced photonics, materials technologies, and high-performance semiconductor lasers. Our teams develop and manufacture optoelectronic components and laser diodes for industrial applications, optical data transmission, life sciences, and high-precision technologies.

About This Opportunity

We are continuously looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our production teams in Zurich as Operators.

By applying to this role, you will be considered for upcoming operator opportunities across our manufacturing and cleanroom environments. These roles may vary depending on production needs and can include temporary or permanent positions, including weekday, shift-based, and weekend operator roles

Typical Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring production equipment in a cleanroom environment
• Performing precise manual tasks, including work under microscopes
• Supporting manufacturing processes such as coating, etching, or assembly
• Carrying out measurements and inspections using technical equipment
• Following detailed work instructions and documenting production steps
• Ensuring adherence to cleanroom and safety standards
• Contributing to process improvements in collaboration with technicians and engineers

Your Profile

• No specific formal degree required
• Interest in technical or production environments
• Experience in manufacturing, cleanroom, microtechnology, or similar environments is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and high level of concentration
• Good manual dexterity and precise working style
• Ability to follow structured processes and instructions
• Willingness to work in a shift-based environment, including early/late shifts or weekend schedules, depending on the role
• Fluent German language skills required; basic English is an advantage
