Purpose

To anticipate client needs while providing exceptional banquet service of food and beverages

Principal Responsibilities

MyGuest

  • Ensure the cleanliness of all service materials and equipment to be used.
  • Ensure that all tables are cleaned after service and that all dirty crockery, linen and glassware are removed to the correct station.
  • Ensure that the coffee stations are set up with the appropriate props.
  • Answer any guest questions or direct them to someone that can assist them. Ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Should always conduct him/himself with a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guest, co-workers and managers.

MyProduct

  • Review the daily function sheets pertaining to the daily assigned duties.
  • Ensure a complete understanding of the menu and service procedure.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all service materials and equipment to be used.
  • Deliver supplies to the location of portable bar, when so required.
  • Attend department meetings as scheduled.
  • Fill up salt and pepper, sugar bowls when needed.
  • Ensure buffet props are put away properly (third floor storage).
  • Keep the prop room and coffee stations organized
  • Keep the Front of House and Back of House organized and clean

MyColleauge

  • Informs Manager on duty of any deficiency in meeting rooms.
  • Open communication with Manager to report challenges and issues.

MyChelsea

  • Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to MSDS.
  • Complies with Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Report for duty on time and follow Chelsea grooming policy. Nametag must be visible at all times.
  • Perform other task as assigned by Management

Academic and Working Qualifications

Working Experience

  • Previous food & beverage service experience.

Knowledge

  • Guest service etiquette
  • Customer service skills

Education

  • Secondary (High) School graduate.

Soft Skills

  • Good communication skills.

Languages

  • Must be able to communicate well in English

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing.
  • Frequent walking, bending, twisting, lifting and reaching.
  • Occasional squatting, pushing and pulling.
  • Able to lift weights of up to 20kgs (loaded meal trays).
  • Able to push supply carts weighing up to 30 kgs.
