Job Description

Pro Fee coder with at least 2 years of experience coding in cardiology preferably cardiovascular, cardiology, IVR procedures as well as EM visits; however, can take either surgery or EM experience. Must be experienced with edits and denials. Experience with bariatric cases a plus. Cerner experience is a plus. The project will be working denials and edits primarily in cariology with some bariatric as well. This is short term project estimated to be 3 months. This is open to fulltime or parttime candidates. The preferred schedule is M-F with hours worked between 7a-5p CST.

Office EMs
Hospital EMs (initial, subsequent, discharge, and consult)
EKGs (high volume of these)
Modifier 25
Global periods
Split shared
Office procedures (Echo's, stress tests, Holter monitor, vascular ultrasound, and device checks)

  1. 2 + years' experience in cardiology
  2. 2+ years' experience with edit and denials
  3. 2+years' experience with cardiology surgery and/or EM coding
  4. Bariatric experience is a plus
  5. Cerner experience preferred
  6. Able to work hours M-F between 7a-5p CST preferred
  7. Able to pick up new workflows and technology easily
  8. Able to ramp up productivity in 4 weeks
  9. Maintain 95% accuracy in all coding
  10. Good written and verbal communication
