We are seeking skilled Coded Welders specialising in aluminium to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. MULTIPLE ROLES AVAILABLE!! We are looking for a talented and experienced Marine Welder / Boilermakers (Aluminium Specialist) to join our team. The successful applicant will become part of our Cairns team, enjoying competitive pay and full penalty rates.

About this Role:

• Fabrication of new aluminium structures
• Deck repairs and replacements
• Watertight door and hatch installations
• Working with pipes, tanks and other aluminium components

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing high-quality aluminium welds using various techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG)
• Ensuring welds meet stringent quality standards and classification society requirements
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• Following safe work practices and adhering to all safety protocols
• Contributing to a positive and productive team environment
• Working independently and as part of a team on various projects

To be Successful in this role you will need:

• Completion of a relevant vocational qualification in welding or engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in coded welding, specifically with aluminium
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated expertise in aluminium welding using TIG and MiG processes
• Experience working in a shipyard or marine environment is a strong preference
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship

What We Offer:

• Earn $45 to $55 per hour once coded. Experienced welders will be required to get qualified in a minimum of 6 weld procedures and be coded.
