JOB TITLE: Code Blue Assistant

HOURS: Part-Time (6pm-6am) , 3 to 6hr shifts,Seasonal (November 1 – April 15)

JOB FUNCTION: The Code Blue Assistant will perform a variety of tasks essential to the operation of the Code Blue Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Within the boundaries of Gateway Community Action Partnership policies and procedures the Code Blue Assistant, under the direction of the Code Blue Manager within the Social Services Department will fulfill the duties listed, but limited to the following:

  • Assist Volunteers
  • Supervise participants
  • Assist participant in completing the EmpowOR intake form
  • Assure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE supplies) are being used
  • Enforce the established Code Blue Program Rules & Regulations
  • Report any incidents to Code Blue Coordinator as soon as possible
  • Sign-in and out daily
  • Submit bi-weekly timesheets to Code Blue Coordinator
  • Attend monthly staff meetings as needed
  • Light cleaning required
  • Other as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in a customer friendly business
  • One year experience in management position
  • Knowledge of computer and Microsoft office programs
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Access to an insured vehicle daily

Gateway Community Action Partnership (formed and incorporated as Tri-County Community Action Agency Inc.) is the designated Community Action Program (CAP) for Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties in Southern New Jersey and also provides services in Atlantic, Camden, Cape May and Mercer counties, as well as Philadelphia, Pa.

As a CAP, Tri-County helps low- and moderate-income residents identify and overcome barriers to self-sufficiency.

Gateway CAP is a private, non-profit, community based organization with a federal 501-C-3 designation by the IRS.

As of January 2019, Gateway CAP operates programs in core areas, including housing, early childhood education, health services, literacy, emergency services and community development with an annual budget of approximately $60 million to serve more than 50,000 clients annually in its coverage area.
