The Beverage Server/Cocktails is responsible for delivering an outstanding guest service by providing timely and courteous beverage service throughout the casino. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all guests while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in assigned areas.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Warmly greets and professionally welcomes all guests
Delivers timely cocktail service with friendliness and courtesy
Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas, promptly clearing glasses and bottles
Proactively seeks out opportunities to provide service
Addresses and resolves guest concerns effectively
Answers guest inquiries and stay informed about property events and attractions
Completes side work at assigned station, including stocking coffee, glasses, sugar, cream, and dispensers
Provides fast (20-minute or less round time), friendly, and professional beverage service; carries full trays on each round
Takes drink orders, communicates with bartenders, assists in drink preparation, and serves beverages to guests
Keeps workstation clean, organized, and well-stocked
Follows proper procedures for handling money
Monitors alcohol consumption and intervenes when necessary, following established guidelines
Acts as an ambassador of goodwill during shifts and public relations events may appear in promotional photos
Promotes casino events and property programs
Collaborate with the Total Rewards Center to support new card sign-up initiatives
Works cooperatively with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, supervisors, and slot staff
Delivers personalized service and uses guest names to enhance the experience
Resolves service issues in accordance with company guidelines
Meets attendance standards and complies with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older
One year of previous high-volume cocktail service experience
At least one year of direct customer service experience in a guest-facing role
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to initiate and engage in professional, friendly conversation
Must present a polished and pleasant appearance that is approachable to guests
Availability to work any day of the week and any scheduled shift
Ability to work well with co-workers and contribute to a team-oriented environment
Must present a well-groomed appearance
Work requires knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients
Work requires schedule flexibility, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift while carrying a tray weighing up to 20 lbs
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs regularly
Must be capable of working in extreme heat during summer months
Must be able to remain on feet for the entire duration of the shift
Must be able to access service areas to retrieve beverage orders
Must be able to communicate effectively over the telephone in environments with loud background noise
Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach as needed
Requires manual dexterity to write drink orders, prepare beverages, and garnishes
Must be able to respond to both visual and auditory cues
Must be able to manage multiple guest requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
