About the role

The Douglas Club is an intimate cocktail bar in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Set in a heritage listed building, The Douglas Club will merge the luxury and glamour from the 1930’s golden age of travel with modern design and technology.

• Showcase your personality by engaging with our guests
• Receive orders and serve customers in a timely manner
• Create and serve a range of beverages including classic cocktails, mixers, beer & wine
• Take and deliver food orders
• Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities
• Keep your service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared
• Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all customer accounts
• Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience within a cocktail bar
• Knowledge and ability to create classic cocktails
• Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
• Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations
• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
• Ability to work around a 7 day week roster including weekends and public holidays
• 25 - 30 hours availability per week (with a minimum of 3 days availability)
