Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first. Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred. Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Hours:6:30am – 4:30pm

Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

  • Attends to and cares for hensInspectseggs toascertainquality and fitness for incubation by performing thebelowdutiesOther duties may be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Feeds,watersand weighs birds according to schedules(10%)

  • Cleans and disinfects waterers, changes and cleans nest pads, dusts nests, cleans walls and ceilings,maintainsegg room in acleanstateand performs otherroutine housekeeping duties (10%)

  • Perform simple math as part of recordinginformation according to instructions such as egg numbers, (hen number on egg), bird weight, medications, feed intake, and mortality (10%)

  • Observes/grades/records egg quality and distributes or disposes according to Cobb standard (10%)

  • Collects eggs fromfloor leveltrap nests, releases hens from nests, and records number of eggs laid by each hen (50%)

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities:

  • These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such asInspects poultry for diseases and removes weak, ill, and dead poultry from flock; records number of floor eggs and works to eliminate these by training hens to use nests; monitors feed, water, illumination, and ventilation systems; sanitation of breakroom and vehicles; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy(10%)

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.Must havegood communicationskills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.

  • Tools and Equipment:Pressure Washer, Leaf Blower, Scale

  • Environment Requiredto work on wet, slippery surfaces and also work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, icy, snowy and cold environments.

  • Personal Protective Equipment Required Safetygoggles,safety glasses,face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are requiredEar plugs will be used as requiredNIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed

  • Chemicals Commonly Used Disinfectantssuch as Synergize,Virocid, Lysol,bleach, etc.

  • Safety:TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected toidentify,addressand mitigate safety related risks.
