Job Title: Coating Technician

TheCoating Technician will ensure tools are free of dirt, oil, or any debris that could have anaffecton the coating process. Ensures all tools coated meet the conformance standards called out in the customer specifications for coating. Responsible for machine set up and managing inventory levels of coating materials as needed

Duties/Responsibilities:
Check all job packets to ensure correct coating is applied to tools.
Clean tools using the established process with the V80 cleaning system
Make sure the carousel is loaded with proper sizedtoolsand the proper length of cut is showing out of the holder.
Prepare coating (pi 80) for coatingsetthe parameters for coating properMicronsonmicro tools.
Tube and label tools for shipping.
Mustmaintainthe cleanliness and organization of the cleaning and coating area.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) isrequired
Certification from a qualified training institution in the field oftooland cutter grinding is ideal but not required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and limited knowledge of Pivot Panel Software and Navision are a plus but notrequired
Excellent attentionto detail isrequired
Strong organizational skills arerequired
Strong math skills required to performday to dayoperations such as fraction to decimal conversions and geometry.
Ability to communicate effectivelywith the supervisorand co-workers.
Ability to multitask in afast pacedmanufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Lightwork that includes moving objects up to 40 pounds at a time.
Ability to reach, stoop, bend, or kneel whenrequired
