Job Description

Title: Coach – Manufacturing

Reports to: Site Manager

Direct reports: Team Leads and Team Members

Overview:

The coach will be successful through the management of the Team Leaders, and Team Members of the facility. The coach is responsible for the activities from the buying of the materials through the final material production. This is to also include managing the inventory levels of the facility. The coach will be expected to participate in team meetings related to sales, new product launches, safety, quality, training of Team Members and the overall production of the facility.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for safe and efficient operations of the Wire Chop & AWP locations managing both capital resources and labor.
  • Ensures the quality of the product produced meets the customers specifications.
  • Report on production, safety, goals, and efficiencies to management. Initiate necessary action to meet department goals and personnel needs.
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
  • Work closely with sales department to coordinate shipping and receiving of materials.
  • Interpret and administer company policy.
  • Manage department and individual performance through direct and indirect supervision of employees.
  • All training of Team Members is complete.
  • Ability to meet physical demands and perform the essential job functions within the work environment identified in this job description.

Outcomes:

  • Achieve safety targets, including but not limited to; 0 injuries, 92 % on safety scorecard, housekeeping, and adherence to all PADNOS Safety Responsibility Rules.
  • Achieve 100% on spec and on time deliveries.
  • Ensuring 100% of all Team Leaders and Team Members are trained accordingly.
  • Managing purchases and operations to achieve plant’s yearly operating income budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or applicable business experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of machine operation.
  • Knowledge in plastics manufacturing in the grading of materials.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Safety compliance requirements.
  • Professional assertive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • A thorough understanding of MS Excel and MS Office is required.
