About the Role:

The COA Product and Insights Manager provides market intelligence, portfolio analysis and competitive insight to support product, partnership and commercial decisions within Wiley’s Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) Solutions business.

The role combines hands-on research and analytical work with broader support across the COA team. Working closely with the Senior COA Product and Delivery Manager, Senior Product Manager and colleagues across Product Delivery, Commercial, Scientific and Licensing functions, you will help the team understand the COA landscape, identify opportunities within Wiley’s portfolio and turn data and research into clear, practical insight.

Alongside this analytical work, the role will provide operational and delivery support across the wider team when required, helping maintain effective partner coordination and day-to-day delivery as the COA Solutions business grows.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct market and competitive research across the COA landscape, including competitor offerings, market trends, regulatory developments, clinical trial activity and emerging therapeutic areas.
• Analyse Wiley’s COA portfolio alongside external market and demand information to identify trends, portfolio gaps, underused assets and potential opportunities for the team to explore.
• Bring together information from multiple internal and external sources and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations for colleagues across Product, Partnerships and Commercial teams.
• Develop and maintain datasets, reports and dashboards that help the team understand portfolio performance, market activity and relevant external trends.
• Use appropriate analytical and AI-assisted tools to make research, analysis and reporting more efficient, while ensuring outputs are accurate, clear and reproducible.
• Support competitor analysis across areas such as pricing, packaging, positioning and portfolio coverage to help colleagues understand market opportunities and competitive activity.
• Work with colleagues across Product Delivery, Product, Commercial, Scientific and Licensing teams to understand business questions and provide the research or analysis needed to support them.
• Provide broader operational support across the COA team when required, including partner coordination, delivery activity and commercial support during periods of increased demand.
• Contribute to improving the team’s research, reporting and analytical processes over time, identifying practical ways to make information easier to access and use.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant experience in market intelligence, business analysis, research, product, commissioning or another analytical or commercially focused role.
• Experience researching business or market questions and bringing together information from multiple sources to identify useful findings and trends.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience working with structured and/or unstructured data and using evidence to answer business questions.
• Experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar analytical, reporting or visualisation tools.
• Ability to translate research and analysis into clear, practical insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and use judgement to determine the best approach to a piece of work.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different functions.
• Flexibility and willingness to support wider operational and delivery activity as team priorities change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SQL, Python or similar analytical tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools or workflows to support research, analysis or data extraction.
• Experience within healthcare, life sciences, scholarly publishing, research, licensing or another relevant information-led environment.
• Familiarity with Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA), electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessment (eCOA), clinical trials or health technology assessment.
• Familiarity with public scientific, clinical or commercial data sources, such as ClinicalTrials.gov or AACT.
• Experience conducting competitor, market or portfolio analysis to support product or commercial decisions.
• Experience using web scraping, data extraction or similar approaches to gather information from external sources.
• Experience working in a cross-functional or matrixed organisation.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
