General Information

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Verification & Validation (XIL / V&V) R&D Intern to join our Systems Software R&D team in Auburn Hills. In this role, you will support generic test development, script creation, lab XIL infrastructure, and test automation while leveraging AI for efficiency and optimization improvements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Main Project: Lead Verification & Validation efficiency improvements for system software product lines.
• Test Development & Automation: Support generic test development based on product portfolio and convert readiness test cases into test scripts.
• XIL Infrastructure Support: Provide hands-on support in hardware/software-in-the-loop (XIL) lab environments (e.g., dSPACE, Comemso, Bloomy, LabCar).
• Process & AI Optimization: Support test automation and leverage AI to drive efficiency and process optimization.
• Key Deliverables:
• Develop Requirements-to-Test Traceability Matrices.
• Build V&V Dashboards for ASPICE SYS.4 and SYS.5 project rollouts.
• Maintain clean V&V deliverables, process/CI lists, and milestone work products across the product development lifecycle.

Your Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and provide proof of enrollment and GPA upon request.
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
• Fundamental understanding of Verification & Validation principles and test automation concepts.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Python, Polarion, or related tools.
