customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team at our Memphis, TN headquarters.
The Accounting Analyst will play a key role in assisting the company’s accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting financial reporting. The role will also support the finance department in strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and driving process improvements to streamline financial operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist with daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
● Manage and reconcile store-related accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness across multiple locations.
● Ensure timely and accurate monthly closings, including reviewing financial transactions and resolving discrepancies.
● Prepare and maintain detailed account schedules and financial reports for management review.
● Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations and purchasing, to optimize financial processes and reporting.
● Coordinate and complete the year-end audit and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors.
● Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as needed and provide support to the finance team.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
● 2-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on retail or multi-location businesses.
● Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
● Experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end closing processes.
● Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, complex formulas) and experience working with major accounting software (Oracle preferred).
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members across the company.
● Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
