Job Description
Responsible for machine operations and quality control/inspections.
☐Machine Operator – CNC:
• Under minimal supervision: program and operate machinery to fabricate vacuum forming molds and tooling.
• Load and unload jigs and raw material in CNC machinery.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Recognize, deploy and use: inserts, fixtures and tools.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• Operate CNC routers per instructions.
• Comply with all quality policy specifications and instructions to satisfy ISO requirements.
• Follow established safety procedures;
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Assemble equipment; use of basic precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and comparators.
• Determine specifications for high precision parts.
• Meet production quotas for machined parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
Machine Operator I and II:
The levels of I and II are determined by the amount of skill and ability of the operator. Machine Operator I operates one machine. Machine Operator II operates multiple machines, cross trains and mentors other employees on the process.
Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
CNC machine experience required.
Demonstrated background in machine shop operations.
Ability to read and understand basic G&M code.
Basic knowledge of cutting tools and perishable tools associated with common types of machining.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently throughout the day and up to 50 lbs. infrequently throughout the day.
Must be able to stand 100% of the day.
