
Our client, a leader in manufacturing in Brampton, ON, is looking for an experienced CNC Machining Supervisor to lead their midnight shift operations This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong CNC expertise who can balance people management, production efficiency, and quality standards.
The CNC Machining Supervisor will oversee and guide a team of operators to meet production goals while ensuring safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You'll play a critical role in scheduling, troubleshooting, coaching, and optimizing machining processes.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of machining operators to achieve daily production targets.
Organize shift schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to production plans.
Perform and oversee machining tasks: CNC programming/setup/operation
Ensure consistent product quality by reviewing drawings, BOMs, and performing inspections.
Collaborate with the Quality department to investigate issues and drive root-cause solutions.
Track production performance, maintain accurate reports, and monitor labor efficiency.
Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company policies, OHSA, and WSIB guidelines.
Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment care procedures.
Foster teamwork, communication, and a positive work environment across the department.
High school diploma required; post-secondary education or university degree
Minimum 3+ years experience supervising CNC operations in a manufacturing setting
Solid knowledge of CNC programming/editing
Understanding of Lean, 5S, and manufacturing best practices.
ERP system familiarity (MRP scheduling) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Skilled in using hand tools, routers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment. Valid forklift license is an asset.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable with manual dexterity tasks, standing for full shifts, and occasional lifting.
Midnight Shift
Overtime and weekend work may be required.
