CNC & Saw Cut Operator

The CNC Machinist and Saw Operator has the responsibility for cutting and inventorying all bar stock as required, as well as running programs for CNC milling machines.
Responsibilities
· Operate all model horizontal band saws.
· Receive incoming material and put it away in proper stock location.
· Cut and deliver raw material to work centers per work order instructions.
· Maintain inventory of raw material; work with purchasing department on items requiring reorder.
· Maintain a clean & organized work area.
· Assist in other areas as needed.

· Basic knowledge of measuring instruments
· Basic understanding and ability to read blueprints.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be detail oriented.
· Skilled in operation of band saws
· Good communication skills and ability to interact with multiple departments.
· Mechanical aptitude
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs
· Must be a team player and willing to help when and where needed.
· Dependable and willing to work overtime when required.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Prior experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
