Key Responsibilities

• 
  Program CNC machines (Lathe & Milling), using Mastercam
• 
  Set up machines independently, including tooling, offsets, and inserts
• 
  Manufacture sample components from technical drawings for client approval
• 
  Operate CNC Lathe and Milling machines to produce precision parts
• 
  Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies based on material and design
• 
  Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
• 
  Ensure all components meet strict quality and customer specifications
• 
  Troubleshoot machining issues and optimise processes for efficiency
• 
  Deliver high-quality parts within tight deadlines, often under pressure
• 
  Take full ownership of the process—from programming through to final inspection

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• 
  Trade Qualified:
  Fitter & Turner or Toolmaker
• 
  Approximately
  5+ years’ experience in CNC programming and machining
• 
  Strong experience with both CNC Lathe and Milling machines
• 
  Proficient in
  CNC programming (Mastercam)
• 
  Ability to
  read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• 
  Experience working with a
  variety of materials
• 
  Skilled in
  full machine setup and independent operation
• 
  Strong understanding of
  tooling, inserts, and cutting strategies
• 
  High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• 
  Ability to
  work independently and meet urgent deadlines

We are looking for someone from a similar industry: automotive or other precision-engineered components are highly advantageous.
