
As a Principal Machinist, you will have the opportunity toutilizemills, lathes, mill-turns, and Swiss machines (among others) to produce close-tolerance parts for our medical products. A major area of responsibility for this role will be the set-up and operation of a variety of production machinery to produce close-tolerance precision medical device parts, with an emphasis on verifying andvalidatingnew set-ups for production and first piece runs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Set upadvancedCNCmachinery such as 4 and 5 axis mills, Swiss machines, Lathes with live-tooling, etc.andoperateadvancedmulti-axis CNC equipment, tools,and accessories for the fabrication and cutting of materials to processcomponentparts.
Maintain close tolerance dimensions while producing parts at the ratesestablishedfor a given operation
Performverification/validationof new set-up programs for new product or pre-production parts Perform in-process and first piece inspection
Complete offset adjustments to multi-axis equipment to ensure product conforms to strict tolerance
Provides training and technical training to less experienced employees.
