As our next CNC Precision Tool Grinder, you’ll be at the forefront of setting up and operating 5‑axis CNC grinding equipment to perform complex machining operations to close‑tolerance specifications. Your expertise in CNC grinding, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and precision measurement will be crucial in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
• Setting up and operating 5‑axis CNC grinding machines to sharpen and recondition carbide tools.
• Performing frequent changeovers for small‑quantity custom orders.
• Using precision measuring tools and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and adjusting CNC grinding equipment.
• Entering CNC programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring parts meet close‑tolerance specifications.
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization of work areas.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in CNC machining, tool grinding, or precision machining.
• Strong mathematical skills, including basic trigonometry.
• Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and follow traceability procedures.
• Hands‑on experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Post‑secondary education in machining, tool & die, manufacturing technology, or related field.
• Experience with 5‑axis CNC grinding equipment.
• Familiarity with WHMIS and industrial safety requirements.
