Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a CNC Operator - 2nd Shift at our Mount Carroll, IL manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate CNC equipment, verify part quality, make basic machine adjustments, and use blueprints and measuring instruments to support safe, accurate production.

  • Location: Mount Carroll, IL
  • Work Arrangement: On-site
  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
  • Pay: $16.00-$19.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Other Compensation: $2.00/hour shift premium
  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
  • Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do as a CNC Operator

  • Operate CNC machines to produce components according to specifications.
  • Verify completed parts meet established quality requirements.
  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary machine adjustments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow and interpret verbal and written work instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with team members and internal customers.
  • A work history demonstrating reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous industrial manufacturing experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is performed on-site in a manufacturing environment and involves regular work with CNC machinery, blueprints, basic measuring instruments, and production documentation. Employees are expected to maintain an orderly work area and follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
