The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures that machines run efficiently, products meet quality standards, and safety protocols are followed.
This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate machinery according to instructions.
Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments.
Inspect products for quality and report defects.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Record production data and report issues.
Follow safety and operational procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience to carry out the role.
5 Axis machining is a requirement.
Basic mechanical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
Familiarity with production tools and equipment is a plus.
