CNC Mill Machinist with Set-Up Experience – First & Second Shift
An opportunity is available for experienced CNC Mill Machinists with strong set-up skills to join a high-precision manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating both horizontal and vertical CNC mills, with openings for both first and second shifts. The position reports directly to the Production Manager and requires close collaboration with office and shop personnel.
Shift Details:
First Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Second Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate machine setup.
Set up CNC machines for operators to run production jobs efficiently.
Perform in-process quality assurance checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
Train new employees on proper CNC machine operation and job setup procedures.
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Ability to read and understand CNC programs directly at the machine.
Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues that arise during production.
Capable of working independently and following detailed instructions.
Positive and professional attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds for short durations.
Makino FMC pallet system experience a plus
