CNC Machinist

Mitech Machine & Fabrication Ltd is a well established diversified machine and fabrication shop located in Napanee, Ontario. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce quality on time parts through the direction of the Shop Foreman

• Run tooling and machinery to optimize production and quality to meet customer needs

• Able to troubleshoot unique problems with fixtures or tooling

• Change tools, inserts and adjust offsets as required to maintain tolerances

• Complete daily machine maintenance

• Check own parts against blue print drawings in various stages of production

• Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards

• Assist with training of Machinist Apprentice

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum three years work experience in a jobbing shop environment is an asset

• Interpret manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of GD&T an asset.

• Able to use and read machinists measuring equipment

• Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances

• Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to tasks

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

• Forklift experience is an asset

Salary: $36 / hour

Vacation: 3 weeks vacation after five years worked
