Chromalloy is currently seeking qualified candidates for a CNC Machinist- 2nd Shift opening to join our Production & Maintenance organization.

2nd shift schedule is Monday through Friday 3:00pm – 11:00pm

MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON 1ST SHIFT MONDAY- FRIDAY 7:00AM to 3:00PM

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to read, write and work with Work Instructions.
· Must be able to set up and operate standard manual machine tools such as Milling Machines (vertical and horizontal), engine lathes, surface grinders. Experience with internal and external grinders, VTL or other metalworking machines desired.
· Must be able to operate and set-up one or more of the following: CNC Grinders, CNC Milling Machines, CNC Lathe or any other CNC metal-working machine where CNC control knowledge may be directly applied to CNY machine tools operation.
· Must be able to apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout machining procedures.
· Must be able to read and understand blueprints, sketches and description of parts to be worked on or replaced.
· Must be able to measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
· Must be able to verify dimensions and alignment with measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and gauge blocks.
· Must have five years machine shop experience.

Qualifications:
• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be fluent in English, (speaking, reading, writing)
• Mechanical background preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and gauges (previous experience preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Regularly: Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Frequently: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a typical manufacturing environment. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to moderate cold and moderate heat. Exposure to the production facility includes loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment.
