Job Description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a CNC Machinist 1 at MKS Inc., you will partner with Operations to process high-precision optics on various CNC machines. In this position, you will report to the Filters Unit Production Manager.


You Will Make an Impact By:

• Operating multiple CNC cutting machines
• Prioritizing workload to ensure on-time delivery goals are met
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to correctly process substrates to meet customer requirements
• Working safely and looking out for the safety of your co-workers
• Maintaining productive communication with other team members, including production planning and management
• Travel Requirements: Up to [Please Insert] % of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:
• 1+ years experience operating CNC machines

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to effectively solve problems and adapt to changing conditions
• Excellent attention to detail and follow through

Preferred Skills:
• Experience processing glass substrates on CNC machines
• Writing programs for CNC machines

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand for at least 50% of the time

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $16.70 - 27.83hr is range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
