The CNC Machine Operator III is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and running complex jobs on computer numerical control (CNC) lathe or milling machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

This position will report to our facility in Trevose, PA and must be available to work during our 2nd shift hours of operation, 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM EDT, with the first few weeks spent training on the 1st shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM EDT) before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities of this role include:
• Operate drill presses, manual milling machines, CNC milling machines, manual lathes and CNC lathes.
• Perform complex set‐up of CNC machines by loading programs, installing and adjusting chucks, cutting tools, attachments, tool holders, vises, collets, bushings, stops and stock pushers.
• Make adjustments to the program as needed.
• Load and unload raw materials and parts into the machine.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first‐run part, and sample workpieces adhering to company quality standards.
• Inspect and measure finished product using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other machinist hand tools.
• Compare finished product to drawing specifications to determine if they adhere to company quality standards.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; and replacing worn tools.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 5S standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment to prevent on‐the‐job injuries by following and promoting company, OSHA and EPA rules and regulations, implementing machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards and follow all safety procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and five (5) years of experience operating and programming CNC Mills or Lathes.
◦ Seven (7) years of experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Proficiency in basic math and trigonometry.
• Ability to communicate and work as a team member.
• Ability to work independently with minimum to no supervision.
• Ability to read and understand part and tool prints.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and hold close tolerances.

Physical Demand Requirements
Required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
