Location: Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Hiring for 2nd shift: +$5/hr for 2nd shift 3:00pm-1:30am (10 hr shift)

The Role

You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient machining of parts to print. This includes selecting the optimal sequence of operations and executing precise setups to meet rigorous blueprint dimensions and tolerances. #ZR

Essential Functions:

· Machine Operation: Set up and operate a range of lathes, including manual vertical turret lathes, manual horizontal lathes, and CNC horizontal lathes.

· Equipment Care: Perform daily start-up/clean-up and conduct weekly preventative maintenance to ensure peak machine performance.

· Quality Assurance: Use manual precision tools Dial Calipers, Dial Indicators, and OD/ID Mics to verify dimensions and uphold quality standards.

· Material Management: Identify and label materials for traceability, including those slated for additional machining processes.

· Team collaboration: Flexible to operate different machinery as needed to support production goals.

Requirements

· Machining Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of machining experience is required.

· CNC Programming Knowledge: Preferred for roles involving CNC machining. Training is available for candidates with the right aptitude.

· Large Turning Experience: Preferred, particularly with parts weighing over 1000 lbs.

· Lathe Experience: Beneficial to have experience with Monarch, Leblond, and Niles manual lathes.

· Overhead crane and Forklift Experience: (Preferred)

· Alloy Steel Knowledge: Good knowledge of and experience working with alloy steel materials.

· Blueprint and BOM Interpretation: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

· Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated high levels of accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.

· Safety Awareness: Ability to work safely in a machine shop environment.

Physical Requirements:

Certifications

Alloy Engineering is a certified ASME Code Section I and Section VIII, Division I fabrication shop. Our welders are Certified AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX. Our staff includes two certified AWS-CWI inspectors, one AWS-SCWI inspector and two AWS-CWS supervisors. Several members of our Quality Assurance Department are also certified in various NDT (nondestructive testing) processes per ASNT SNT TC-1a.

With these certifications, Alloy Engineering can develop all necessary or required weld procedures, depending on the application, to produce the highest quality welded, fabricated product and certify 100% compliance.
