  1. Up to 1 year of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. High School Diploma
  3. 2 Year Assoc. Degree or equivalent experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. The primary duties of the employee are (but not limited to) the following:
  2. Have knowledge of CAD/CAM, wire EDM and CNC machines.
  3. Must understand how to utilize CAD/CAM, wire EDM, CNC lathe, and other machines to reduce cost.
  4. Must be able to design or assist in the design of dies, fixtures, machines, machine repairs, die building and die repairs. Assist in quoting, build time and materials costs.
  5. Must be capable of working with extremely close tolerances.
  6. Capable of training other employees.
  7. Understand designs, develops, manufactures of dies, jigs, fixtures, machines and be capable of operating production equipment. Performs all aspects of machine and die building, working from blueprints, engineering sketches, piece parts, or verbal instructions.
  8. Performs all duties assigned with a minimum of supervision.
  9. Operates a variety of related precision metal working machinery and equipment, height gauges, sine plates, etc.
  10. Assist in try-out of all tools, making sure it produces acceptable parts.
  11. Must have knowledge of how to quote or assist in quoting tooling cost.
  12. Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  13. Perform all other duties as assigned

  1. Participate in function and maintenance of quality management relating to job.
  2. Ensure quality in your process.
  3. Initiate action to prevent defect and recommend solutions.
  4. Verify solutions.
  5. Ensure quality is maintained until solution is verified
