CNC Mill Machinist - 2nd Shift

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up and operating Vertical, Horizontal 4 and 5-Axis mills to machine complex rotor craft housings.
• Producing high-quality products by coordinating efforts with data from CMM reports.
• Proving out new CNC programs during New Product Introduction.
• Collaborating with Engineering to develop top-notch manufacturing processes.
• Implementing new technologies for machining processes and work-holding solutions.
• Demonstrating knowledge of materials and cutting conditions.
• Participating in daily GEMBA and Kaizen events.
• Adhering to required safety and housekeeping standards and practices.
• Assisting in scheduling resources to ensure daily work is completed efficiently.
• Maintaining a highly efficient work process using Lean principles to support cost reduction activities.
• Operating various CNC machines and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience with CNC aerospace machining.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required and/or Preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to interface with MRP systems.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and 6-Sigma defect analysis.
• Ability to work with all levels of workers in a team-oriented environment.
