The Rehabilitation Unit is a 20-bed inpatient unit dedicated to helping patients regain independence and improve theirquality-of-lifefollowing illness, injury, or surgery. The unit specializes in comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients recovering from traumatic injuries, strokes (CVAs), spinal cord injuries, amputations, and neurological conditions. Through an interdisciplinary approach, patients receive individualized treatment designed to restore function, mobility, and daily living skills.
Certified professional caregiver working under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.Responsible for providing assigned care according to scope of practice. Has adequate knowledge to approachpatients of all age groups. All employees will continuallymonitorand adhere to safety responsibilities andInitiatives
Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assistspatients with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.
Obtains and documents vital signs, weights, intake and output, specimens, and other assigned patient care activities.
Reports changes in patient condition and communicates effectively with the nursing team.
Assistswith admissions, transfers, discharges, procedures, hourly rounding, andmaintaininga safe patient environment.
Delivers compassionate customer service while promoting patient dignity, safety, and quality care.
Follows hospital policies, infection prevention standards, safety regulations, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certificationrequiredor successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification isrequired If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within30 daysof their hire date.
Glucometer Training, Aegis Training, CNA Patient Deterioration training, and other required certifications must be completed within establishedtimeframes
