Total Finance team
This position is the senior Financial Leader for Hongchang. Key responsibilities include US GAAP reporting, statutory and local management reporting, compliance including tax and internal controls, planning and analysis for the business along with being strong communication link between the business and Henry Schein. The role will operate as a business partner to the Managing Director and participate in regular business/budget/forecast reviews with the wider Henry Schein Group.
Accounting & Tax
Be responsible for PRC and US GAAP monthly reporting within specific monthly time frame. Organize the monthly/ quarterly/annual closing and balance sheet reconciliations to make sure accuracy and timeliness of bookkeeping. Monitor the VAT invoice report and reconcile with the purchase and sales at month end. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns (VAT, income tax…). Work closely with the external auditors on annual audit. Work closely with the operation on annual physical count.
Internal control and risk management
Monitor the credit information of the customers and conduct credit control for the daily business. Work with the operation team to ensure the safeguard of inventory, including regular and consignment stock checks. Review the implementation of internal control system, including ICIS and China group policies. Quarterly sampling and testing SOX controls and document the evidence for review. Identify and analyze the risks, and report on exceptional cases to senior management if necessary.
Statutory and grouplocal report
Prepare the statutory report for local authorities and external stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of group reports including both financial and non-financial information. Prepare monthly reports for the group and local management’s needs within agreed timeframe. Provide the information for JV Finance Controller for group reports purpose.
Management report & controlling
Review FCPA payment application and monitor the compliance. Prepare the local monthly business Review deck. Take the initiative to develop performance measures to push the healthy growth of the company. Prepare ad hoc analysis where required.
Treasury
Prepare monthly cash flow forecast for the company. Work closely with JV Finance Controller on working capital management and treasury requirements.
Business planning & Operations
Take the lead to prepare the Company budget, and monitor / control the budget. Liaise with the different business units to prepare monthly financial forecast. Support the Managing Director with financial analysis on all investment decisions. Monitor productivity levels in the operation. Support the Managing Director in supplier negotiations and assist in the management of gross profit margins.
