Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) Equipment Technician to join our equipment engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing CMP tools that are essential to our wafer fabrication process. You will work closely with process engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) system performance to meet process requirements and maximize uptime.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze CMP equipment data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistent process stability.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on AMAT and Ebara CMP tools, demonstrating a strong understanding of mechanical, Pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, executing corrective maintenance and repairs - requiring **hands-on** expertise - to minimize unscheduled downtime and impact to production.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing equipment improvements and modifications to enhance process capability and yield, under the guidance of engineering.
  • Troubleshoot CMP process challenges related to uniformity, defectivity, and rate control, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction projects, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Minimum requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 5 years of semiconductor experience as Technician
  • Ability to work 12 hour compressed work schedule
  • Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays

Preferred qualifications:

  • Self-driven with ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance of CMP tools(Ebara and AMAT)
  • Good troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems
  • Excellent organizational, teaming and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
