Job Purpose

To maintain and oversee all aspects of master data within the CMMS/SAP system, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and reliability across the organization. The role provides CMMS/SAP and data management expertise to support maintenance activities, improve data-related business processes, and enhance operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of CMMS/SAP master data, with particular focus on Plant Maintenance (PM) data, including functional locations, equipment, task lists, maintenance plans, maintenance items, work centers, and other relevant master data.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to established data entry standards and guidelines across maintenance and other relevant teams.
  • Analyze master data to identify discrepancies, duplicates, errors, and data quality issues, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and IT, to ensure effective integration of master data across relevant business processes.
  • Conduct routine data validation and testing to verify the accuracy and completeness of master data, document results, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance master data management processes to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and internal policies relating to master data management, and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users and stakeholders on master data processes, standards, guidelines, and best practices, and provide ongoing support in resolving data-related issues.
  • Facilitate change management activities associated with master data changes, including communication, training, implementation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT and business users to define requirements for CMMS/SAP enhancements and improvements related to Plant Maintenance master data management.
  • Develop and generate reports, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor and provide insights into master data quality, performance, and compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of master data processes, procedures, standards, and workflows.

Technical Qualification & Skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within Maintenance, Engineering, or Asset Management environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in CMMS/ SAP master data management and maintenance, particularly within SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and MM modules.
  • SAP certification in Master Data Management or a related field would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively develop data-driven solutions to business challenges.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • English – good proficiency (both verbal & written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
