Job Description

The CMMS Administrator – Airport is responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimising the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) used to support airport maintenance operations. The role ensures accuracy, reliability, and integrity of maintenance data related to assets, work orders, preventive maintenance, and reporting, enabling effective planning, execution, and performance monitoring across airport maintenance functions.

Job Responsibilities 1

CMMS Administration & System Control

  • CMMS Configuration & Administration
    Administer the airport CMMS by maintaining asset registers, equipment hierarchies, preventive maintenance plans, job plans, and system parameters, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

  • User Access & System Support
    Manage CMMS user access, roles, and permissions, and provide day‑to‑day system support to maintenance teams, supervisors, and managers.

Maintenance Data & Work Order Management

  • Work Order Lifecycle Control
    Monitor and support the full lifecycle of maintenance work orders, ensuring requests are properly logged, prioritised, updated, closed, and documented in the system.

  • Preventive Maintenance Scheduling
    Support the setup, scheduling, and monitoring of preventive maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are generated and executed in line with approved maintenance plans.

Data Quality, Reporting & Analysis

  • Data Quality Assurance
    Ensure integrity and quality of CMMS data by conducting regular audits, identifying gaps or inconsistencies, and coordinating corrective actions with maintenance teams.

  • Maintenance Reporting & KPIs
    Generate standard and ad‑hoc CMMS reports covering work order performance, asset history, preventive maintenance compliance, and maintenance backlogs to support decision‑making.

Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintenance Team Coordination
    Act as the interface between maintenance teams, supervisors, managers, and IT support to ensure the CMMS reflects actual maintenance activities and operational realities.

  • System Improvement & Optimisation
    Identify opportunities to improve CMMS workflows, data structures, and reporting to enhance system usability, maintenance planning, and performance visibility.

Job Knowledge & Skills

CMMS Administration Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance data structures including assets, work orders, job plans, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Maintenance Process Understanding
Good understanding of maintenance workflows, preventive and corrective maintenance processes, and asset lifecycle management within airport or critical facility environments.

Data Management & Reporting Skills
Ability to manage maintenance data accurately, perform data quality checks, and generate reports and KPIs for maintenance performance monitoring.

System Support & Coordination Skills
Ability to support CMMS users, coordinate with maintenance teams, and communicate system requirements clearly.

Attention to Detail & Accuracy
High level of attention to detail to ensure CMMS data integrity and reliable reporting.

Job Experience

4–6 years of experience administering or supporting a CMMS, preferably within airport operations, facilities, utilities, or other asset‑intensive environments.

Hands‑on experience managing maintenance data, including asset registers, work orders, preventive maintenance plans, and maintenance history records.

Experience supporting maintenance teams and supervisors, providing CMMS training, data support, reporting, and ensuring system usage aligns with maintenance processes.
