Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Program multiple CMM’s supporting various machining processes and products.
  • Provide formatted reports for engineering, CNC programs and operators.
  • Interpret prints developed with GD&T standards.
  • Edit legacy CMM programs, develop probing and fixturing solutions as required.
  • Develop SPC feedback software for quality and operators.
  • Use Six Sigma tools and root-cause analysis to aid team in process troubleshooting.
  • Mentor entry level personnel in CMM operation.
  • Pursue new manufacturing technology, process improvement techniques and state of the art equipment to enhance the facilities manufacturing capabilities.
  • Perform CMM inspection as needed.
  • Perform inspection using various hand gages included but not limited to micrometers, calipers, swing gages, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor and Quality Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience using PCDMIS software in a high-speed machining environment.
  • Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
