Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all necessary logs, records and reports for CMM inspection results
  • Issues gage recalls for inspection and re-calibration purposes.
  • Practice safe work habits, and maintain a clean working environment
  • Continuously builds technical skills in area of expertise and performs other duties as required.
  • Learn and adhere to required safety standards and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years layout inspection experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in a parts manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in CMM operation and programming preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the use of measuring instruments, i.e. various micrometers, verniers, swing, snap, and dial gauges, etc. desirable.
  • Read and understand part drawings, internal process instructions and other technical data to perform dimensional inspection activities.
  • Proficient in the application of GD&T.
  • Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to support corrective action activities.
  • Strong mathematical skills, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Compliance with general attendance standards is required.

Entry level Trainee Qualifications:

  • Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a parts manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Capable of reading and understanding written instructions, procedures, safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications and have the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Ability to learn how to read blueprints and GD&T.
  • Compliance with general attendance standards is required.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
