As a CMFG Designer, you will support the conceptualization, development, and execution of Colors, Materials, Finishes, and Graphics (CMFG) for future Polaris products, accessories, and related programs. You will work as part of the CMF & Graphics Studio, collaborating closely with senior CMF designers and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality CMFG solutions that align with brand vision, performance requirements, and manufacturing feasibility. This role is focused on hands-on design development and execution across multiple programs in a fast-paced design studio environment.

Success in this role requires strong CMF fundamentals, excellent visual and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under direction while managing multiple priorities. This position is an individual contributor role and does not include people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support ideation, visualization, and development of CMFG concepts for vehicles, accessories, and components.

  • Assistin trend research, analysis, mood board creation, and CMFG storytelling.

  • Develop colors, materials, finishes, and graphicspackages for both concept and production programs.

  • Create 2D and 3D patterns, textures, and graphic layouts for a variety of application areas.

  • Develop digital and physical CMFG presentations, boards, and samples for internal reviews.

  • Support CMFG execution for prototype, validation, and pre-production vehicles.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to support implementation of CMFG designs.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to develop samples and ensure alignment with design intent.

  • Assistin sourcing, organizing, andmaintainingthe internal CMFG material and finish library.

  • Support creation of CMFG definition documents and releases tied to design gateways and program milestones.

Qualifications

  • Portfolio, work samples, or websitedemonstratingCMF andgraphics design capabilities.

  • Master’s degreein CMF Design orbachelor’s degreein Textile Design, Fashion Design, Transportation Design, Industrial Design, ora relatedfield.

  • 3-5 years of experience in CMF, graphics, or related design roles; OEM, consultancy, or supplier experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of the CMF design and development process.

  • A strong understanding of materials, finishes, color development, and manufacturing considerations.

  • Strong visual, communication, and presentation skills

  • Proficiencywith Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

  • Experience with digital material creation, surface visualization, orrenderingworkflows, includingKeyShot, Substance tools, VRED, Blender, or similar platforms, preferred.

  • Ability to deliver high-quality design work under tight timelines andshiftingpriorities.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $78,000 to $103,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
