What you will do
- Manage, optimize, and support the global IT asset and configuration management processes, their implementation in the ITSM platform ServiceNow and their integration into the ITSM processes.
- Ensure the asset and configuration management processes are well understood by the whole organization. Document the processes. Support and train the organization. Ensure the IT organization is informed about changes.
- Own the asset and CMDB. Document the end-2-end service architecture. Manage CMDB auto-discovery settings. Connect new network segments. Control asset and configuration item security and access roles.
- Align asset and configuration management KPIs and SLAs, and care for their implementation in ServiceNow.
- Monitor tickets, SLAs and KPIs of all IT services related to asset and configuration management. Propose and align measures for improvement.
- Coordinate the maintenance of assets and configuration items with the responsible Service Owners and specialists, and with the process managers of providers. Target is keeping the asset and configuration data up-to-date, complete and consistent.
- Ensure duplicates are eliminated, incorrect data is corrected and measures are taken to prevent re-occurring.
- Identify and support measures for integration of internal and provider platforms with ServiceNow in regards of synchronization of CI and asset data.
- Review asset and configuration management related implementations in the ServiceNow development and test environment. Align requirements with the platform architect and implementation partner.
What we require
- 3+ years experience in asset and configuration management in international IT organizations.
- Profound ServiceNow and ITIL4 knowledge, comparable to an ITIL4 Expert certification.
- Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or business administration or comparable knowledge and experience.
- Experience in working with IT providers.
- Knowledge of agile project management standards like SCRUM, and project management frameworks – ideally Prince2®.
- Strong communication skills.
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in an intercultural environment.
- Structured working mode and analytical skills.
