Position Type: Regular Full-TimeThe Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with RN(s), LPN(s), Psychiatrist, Medical Doctors (M.D.), Family Medicine Nurse Practitioners (A.P.R.N.). The Certified Medical Assistant will also coordinate activities within the Wah-Zha-Zhe Health Center, and ONCC to benefit the patient, payer and provider as the patient moves across the continuum of care. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist patients in achieving optimal levels of wellness, self-management, and functioning capability. All duties will be performed under the guidance of the Oklahoma State Department of Health Nurse Aide Training and Certification Program Registry.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited Institution required with license clear of provision with the Oklahoma State Department of Health Nurse Aide Training and Certification Program Registry.
- Five years of child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric experience in the Clinic setting, or Hospital setting.
- Five years of experience in assisting Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurses in patient procedures.
- BLS by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Willing and able to perform considerable walking, recurring bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing and pulling, often more than 50 pounds.
General
Qualifications
- ACLS, PALS and NIHSS preferred.
- Must have the knowledge and skill sufficient to recognize, respond and initiate, emergency measures when indicated, such as cardiopulmonary arrest response, recognizing the signs and symptoms of MI and CVA and emergent interventions, perform catheterizations, change surgical dressings, administer antibiotics.
