Job Description

Retain and increase sales of small to medium size customers.

1. Consistently meet budget per vessel and value-added product targets
• Drive team to proactively react to ad-hoc initiatives such as filling a certain vessel / upsell specific product(s), to ensure full vessels and loads.
• Stay informed as to the market conditions, competition activities, pricing/ rate levels and any other indicators that impact ability to meet targets.
• Follow-up open Sales Leads and Opportunities.
• Develop Sales strategies to increase business volume.

2. Appropriate customer solutions and exceptional customer relations for all small to medium size customers.
• Drive high quality level towards our smaller-and mid-sized customers (Core Accounts), through digital & voice channels.
• Drive performance within the team to regularly exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure that the sales process is consistently and effectively followed -
• Evaluate customer potential (Forecast/Budget) and conduct incubation accounts Sales planning.

3. The full customer journey is through the H-L homepage
• Educate and promote Hapag Lloyd´s navigator/ homepage to ensure that all customers fully utilize the on-line solution.
• Look for continuous Sales Core Desk and Business Development process and system improvement.
• Work closely with the digital department for innovation and system improvements

4. Lead and manage an empowered and high performing team
• Coach and steer Sales Core Desk and Business Development sub teams to achieve targets.
• Ensure that the team is held fully accountable for their performance and results.
• Create and maintain open communication across all stakeholders and within the teams.
• Review and tune team´s workload to ensure delivery effectiveness.
• Ensure that all team members have the skills and ability to perform to the required standard.
• Ensure that all teams members live the Company values – we move, we care, we deliver
• Where necessary drive effective change management

5. Effectively conduct ad hoc projects meeting the objectives and deliverables of the project
• Conduct the necessary research and analysis in order to present meaningful and useful information
• Ad hoc responsibilities that are required to effectively manage or contribute to ongoing projects

• University degree or equivalent
• Very good command of written and spoken local language and English.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office tools
• Able to work well with others and follow guidelines.
• Hands-on mentality to approach existing and new customers.
• Customer oriented attitude with willingness to set limits.
• Receptive and be able to grasp new ideas.
• Capable of working under pressure.
• Result driven team player with proactive attitude.
