Job Description

At Amazon, we strive to be the most customer-centric company in the world. To achieve this, we work every day on tomorrow's issues and are constantly innovating. We need talented people who are passionate about operations, using their strong analytical, communication and long term thinking skills to drive change, build an organization, and lead our teams in the supply chain industry leader.

Would you like to be part of the Customer Fulfillment Flex team? CF Flex is an innovative program from Amazon that significantly accelerates the supply chain with our major Vendors or 3PLs (Third Party Logistics), while reducing costs and carbon footprint. We implement Amazon Fulfillment technology and processes directly at our Vendors/3PLs' warehouses to prepare customer orders, which are then shipped through our transportation network with same/next-day delivery capability. By avoiding deliveries to Amazon Fulfillment Centers and storage needs, the CF Flex program dramatically increases the responsiveness of our Vendors. Each CF Flex site works independently and, like a small warehouse, from receiving stock to shipping orders and inventory management, offers a global view of all the flows in a distribution center.

We are looking for a Cluster Manager for Customer Fulfillment Flex Operations in Northern Italy, Verona/Vicenza area, managing a team of limited size composed by Process/Cluster Assistants based at our Vendors/3PLs' sites.

As a Cluster Manager, you will own the performance of your cluster & lead continuous improvement activities in Italy and across Europe. You will represent Amazon to our Vendors and 3PLs, visiting sites on a regular basis, and will also manage the interactions with all Amazon internal stakeholders: WHS, HR, Transportation, S&OP, Finance, Retail and many others.

The role is primarily a Monday to Friday day shift role, although some flexibility is required as per business needs.

- The chance to join an international team, with the opportunity to partially work remotely.

- You manage and work closely with stakeholders from all departments such as Finance, Retail, Supply Chain and many more which give you unique insights into the way Amazon works.
- An improved work-life balance, with fixed day shift, no night shift and very limited weekend shifts across the year.

Key job responsibilities
- Maintain health and safety standards at all sites and promote a positive health and safety culture within the organization.
- Lead and coach a diverse team of Process/Cluster Assistants at Vendors/3PLs’ sites, in a very fast paced, high volume environment, adapting to an ambiguous landscape and frequent changes in priorities.
- Establish and maintain a strong professional relationship with Vendors/3PLs’ logistical departments.
- Act as Supply Chain consultant for Vendors, influencing them to optimize Vendor Flex, Direct Fulfillment and other Amazon fulfillment programs.
- Conducting operations audit & process change activities in the managed sites using Lean-6sigma methods (Gemba Walk, Kaizen etc).
- Be the operational expert and drive CX onsite, performing in-depth analysis of complex issues and lead improvement initiatives to achieve error elimination and improve financial metrics.
- Collaborate on multiple projects in an international context, aligning with teams in other countries to continually raise the bar for our customers & explore new opportunities.

About Amazon

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.

Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.

Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.

You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
