Job Description

The Cluster Manager will play a crucial role in Kotak Mahindra Bank's TASC & INSTITUTIONAL BUSINESS department. They will be responsible for overseeing a team of Relationship Managers, ensuring effective strategies are in place to meet business goals, and fostering long-term relationships with key institutional clients. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the retail banking industry.
  • Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance business growth and market share within the retail institutions segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team to enhance their skills.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in retail banking, with a proven track record in managing institutional clients.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Deep understanding of the retail banking industry, including products, services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant banking software is essential.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes as needed.
