Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a strategic Finance Business Partner to the Marketing & Sales (M&S) Leader and other key functions within the Electrifications Smart Building and Smart Power Divisions within the Cluster. You will drive financial performance, translate strategy into measurable business plans, and provide data-driven insights that enable sound business decisions. This is a high-impact partnering role requiring strong commercial acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership within a global matrix environment.

  • Acting as a strategic finance business partner, providing financial insights and guidance to business leaders while supporting strategy development and execution through measurable business plans.
  • Leading financial planning and performance management, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and financial reporting to drive informed decision-making
  • Driving profitability and operational efficiency by identifying risks and opportunities, optimizing costs and investments, and leading cross-functional initiatives that support business growth and financial objectives
  • Establishing and driving standardized financial control frameworks, processes, and best practices across the cluster to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring robust governance through effective internal controls, risk management, and reliable financial reporting tools that support accurate, transparent, and timely business insights.
  • Ensuring compliance with ABB standards, policies, regulations, ethical requirements, and health & safety obligations while maintaining effective governance and accountability across the area of responsibility.
  • Promoting a culture of compliance, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, policies, and safety standards.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent.

  • 5 - 10 years’ experience in Marketing & Sales controllership experience within a global, matrix-driven multinational environment, contributing as a key stakeholder and decision-maker for the business/team.

  • Experience with SAP ERP system with exposure to full process of order offer to revenue and cash collection will be an added advantage.

  • Familiarity with internal controls and group integrity operations guidelines.

  • Proven experience operating within global organization and matrix setting, dealing with many stakeholders in different departments and countries with intercultural sensitivity and effectiveness with strong business partnering.

  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.

  • Strong Business partnering capabilities, combined with project management, consultation, collaboration, change management and influencing skills.
